PDR100 Car and bike 12v input
Provide the PDR100 from chasecam with power from your vehicle.
You can connect the PDR100 directly to the 12v system of your car or bike. We prefer to use a 12v regulator which ensures that no more than 12v can get to this device. Using a regulator will also stop voltage spikes and reduce interference from the engine.
You can use a DC power splitter from the regulator to power more than one device.
The PDR100 can supply power to one camera only. For extra equipment you should use a separate power supply otherwise you will blow the internal fuse of the chase cam and that will mean returning it for repair.
If you're in a car, the most simple and effective way to power the mpeg2 recorder is from a car cig lighter adapter set to 12v. If you're on a bike or you want to hard wire the pdr100 in to the electrics then use the 12v in-line regulator.
