The Action Pro has been manufactured to a high standard by a USA based company called Astak. Astak are specialists in camera technology for more than 20 years and have vast experience in this area.

What really sets this camera apart from the rest is the latest A5s chipset as found in the the GoPro 2 cameras. The picture quality is amazing and for the price....we were blown away!

We attached the camera to an AR Drone Quad Copter and set the camera to take a photo every 2 seconds.

The ActionPro comes with a fully waterproof enclosure tested at depths of 60m.  It comes with a waterproof remote controller that will allow you to start/stop recording on the move. The remote has a range of at least 15m and can also be used to take 8 mega pixel still photos.

INCLUDED in the price is an LCD screen that clips on to the back of the camera and can be used to align your shot and for playing back what you have recorded or viewing the photos you have taken. Although the screen cannot be used whilst the camera is in the waterproof housing, you can use the camera more readily without HAVING to use it in its housing!

The camera has a 1/4" tripod thread at the bottom so using it with the supplied mounts does not mean you HAVE to use the waterproof housing. This makes the camera much smaller and lighter and easier to mount if you're not recording in a water environment.

The A5s chipset gives amazing video quality and reduces the rolling shutter effect considerably.

Ease of use: It really doesn't get any easier. Even without the LCD screen attached, the camera is easy to configure. One button to start and stop recording and another button for taking crystal clear wide angled photos. So no messing around trying to decide which "mode" the camera is in.

With the LCD BacPac attached you get a full 7 button navigation system to move around the camera's settings.

Unlike many of the other cameras currently available on the market, the ActionPro has been enabled to work with PAL frame rates. 1080p @ 25 or 30fps and 720p 25/30/50 and 60fps. So it's ideal for video production work.The file format is H.264 MP4 same as most other HD cameras. The files drop right in to FCP, Sony Vegas, Premier Pro, iMovie, Windows LIVE movie maker etc.

Other features of this camera include Photo Triple Shot (takes 3 photos in quick sucession when the shutter button is pressed) and continuous photo mode (press the shutter and it takes a photo every 2,3,5,10,20,30 or 60 seconds (perfect for time lapse) There is a self timer mode and the ability to have time/date stamping on both the video or photos.

The camera has a built in laser, so when you're not using the screen you can still get an idea as to where the camera is pointing. The battery supplied with the unit is rated for over 1000 charges. It will give around 2 hours record time from a full charge or 1.5 hours with the LCD screen on.

Lastly, the ActionPro camera is suppllied with a whole load of mounts including a very heavy duty helmet mount, a head strap/goggle mount. curved and flat surface adhesive 3M mounts. If that isn't enough....the ActionPro is also compatible with  a wide range of after market camera mounts.
