Battery power for the chasecam PDR100 mpeg2 recorder.
Batteries for the PDR100 mpeg2 recorder.
The PDR100 can be powered from 4 x internal AA batteries. Even if you intend to power the recorder from an external power supply, it's still a good idea to install a set of fully charged batteries before use. This way if your power supply fails or becomes disconnected then you won't lose any recordings. Also, some ignition systems will drain the power from your vehicle's battery when turning the engine over. This can cause the pdr100 to turn off if you don't have battery back-up.
As with all electronic devices, you should remove the batteries if you are not going to use the device for a significant amount of time. Battery leakage can cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
