This is quite simply THE highest quality solid digital video recorder on the market to date. The XM-DVR pro has been specifically designed for in car use but could also be used in other vehicles including bikes. It's also a preferred system for light aircfraft.

XM-DVR Pro is encased in an aluminum casing and is the most rugged recorder we have found. It records in MPEG2 format and has an outstanding video encoding bit rate of 10mb/s. Not only does it record in full 720 x 576 full PAL resolution but it can do this from two cameras at the same time! That's two individual video streams both at 720 x 576 and both at 10mb/s.

If you have two cameras connected to this recorder then you will end up with two video files on the CF cards which can be played in windows or imported into all current video editing programs.

The only other way to achieve recording from two cameras using other digital video recorders is to have one for each camera. Not so with the XM-DVR Pro.

This recorder has an advanced interlacing and combing filter so playing back the video direct on your computer or back to any TV or monitor has never looked better.

The XM DVR Pro can take two compact flash cards up to 16gb each giving a total of 32gb of solid state storage space.

A single 16gb CF card will hold about 4 hours at full quality from one camera. Add a second camera and this will reduce the storage space by 50%.

Unlike most other digital recorders available the XM-Pro does not have a file size limit. So video files can be much longer than the standard 4gb allowed on other devices.

The connections on the XM-DVR pro are also much more advanced. It uses a DVI connector and is supplied with a DVI break-out cable provides more reliable connectivity.

Please Note:

The XM-DVR Pro makes encrypted and protected video files. These files are converted to standard mpeg2 files using the software supplied on the CD-Rom. This software requires Microsoft windows XP or Vista. Once the files have been converted, they can then be used on an Apple OS. A version of the conversion software is currently under development.

To be able to record at full 10mb/s on both channels, you will need CF cards that support 45mb/s write rate.
The cheaper cards available will not be able to cope with this data rate. We will supply high speed cards with this recorder to support this.

NEW! The firmware has been modified and it's now possible to record on to both CF cards at the same time!

The 5" TFT Monitor has one of the brightest screens we have found. A high quality piece of hardware that can accept any composite video input. Ideal for use with digital video recorders that don't have built-in screens such as the PDR100 or XM-DVR Pro.

Input connections are BNC and we will also supply BNC to RCA-Phono adapters.

Can easily be dash mounted with it's adjustable stand. Powered by 12v.

Comes with a protective carry case that doubles as a screen shroud for perfect viewing on bright, sunny days. The back of this bag has a velcro belt strap that can be used to secure the monitor to a roll bar or cage.
