This wired remote is now included with all DV500's sold by us. You can now purchase a spare here.
Plug this in to the bottom of the dv500. Put the side switch to "REC". Slide the button on the remote and the DV500 will power up and start recording within 5 seconds.
DV-500 / PV800 External battery charger
External li-ion battery charger:
Will charge both DV500 and PV800 batteries.

The pv800 and the dv500 digital video recorders are supplied with a UK mains battery charger. The charging is done by plugging the recorder in to a mains wall socket.
This device allows you to quick charge your batteries externally. The dv500 and pv800 come with 2 batteries so you can charge one whilst using the other.
You can also use this charger with the car power adapter below to charge batteries from your car cig. lighter socket.
Open the frame and insert the DV500 in to this battery pack for over 5 hours record time. Also provides greater protection for your DV500. A belt holder is supplied as is a new cable which can provide 12v to your bullet camera so no need to carry 2 power packs around with you! This battery is charged whilst connected to the DV500. It cannot be charged with the external battery charger above.

12v 6000mAh 12v and 5v kit.
Use this kit to power both the camera and the DV-500 from the same power supply. 5v goes to the recorder and 12v goes to the camera and mic. You can record for over 8 hours using this kit.

12v/5v Car power kit:

1 x 12v Car cig lighter regulator
1 x DC power splitter
1 x 12v to 5v regulator
12v Car power kit.
Plug this in to your car's cig lighter socket to power both the camera and the recorder. The camera is fed a regulated 12v supply and the recorder gets 5v from the 12v to 5v regulator. Record all day long with no worries about the batteries going flat on you.
DV-500 hard wiring kit.

1 x 12v regulator
1 x 5v Regulator
1 x DC Power splitter cable.
Bike/Car hard wiring kit.
Power both the camera and the recorder from your own 12v battery. Ideally, this should be connected to the fuse box or direct to the battery if you use an in-line fuse. Use the smallest fuse you can get, no more than a 5 amp.

We really like this small mpeg4 recorder. The DV500 is currently our most popular digital video recorder for motocyclists. It's solid state which means there's no moving parts to worry about. No amount of vibration, speed or g-force experienced on a bike can stop this little recorder from doing it's job. Coupled with any of the camera kits above it makes the perfect head cam package.
