The GoPro range is a new line of small and very rugged digital cameras from America. Each camera comes with a fully waterproof housing allowing it to be used in up to 30m of water.
This small waterproof camera not only takes really nice 3 mega-pixel photos but can also store up to 54 minutes of video when used with a 2gb SD card.
Three packages are available depending on what you get up to. The Digital hero is the base pack which comes with a wrist strap, the camera, the waterproof enclosure and 2 x AAA batteries.
You can set these go pro cameras to take normal video. You can take high resolution stills and there is also a burst mode for taking a sequence of high resolution pictures. An always on mode will last for about 3 hours making the system ready to shoot at any stage.
The video can be played back on a PC or Mac making it easy to put your videos on to DVD.
This waterproof helmet camera has a 16mb built-in memory and can also take memory cards up to 2gb in size, enough to hold about an hour of video.
The digital hero can be worn on the wrist and over ski gloves.
Accessories are also available for helmet, car or bike mounting the camera.
