12v A/V Microphone with built-in gain controller

This new mic, designed by us here at Dogcamsport has a simple but very effective gain controller built-in to the PCB. You can turn the gain down from 100% to as little as 5% so even the loudest vehicles will not make this microphone clip and distort.

We have designed this mic primarily for use in cars and on bikes but it works just as well for all other sports and gives you the exact adjustment to suit your filming environment.

All of our camera kits from 2/5/2008 will come with this mic included as standard.

12v A/V Microphone

The DogCam Cameras do not have built-in mics so if you want sound with your recordings then you're going to need a mic. You can't use any ordinary mic because of the line level output required. The mic in your camcorder will not be active when recording from an external source such as the DogCam.

Again, designed by us and built by a local company. They come with 1.2m of cable which is plenty long enough for fixing near your exhaust pipes or even inside your helmet for a running commentary!

They have a built-in DC output to plug into the camera. So both the camera and mic can be run from the same power source with no extra cables required. This mic is not waterproof.

Stereo Splitter for 12v A/V mic

Use this small splitter to record on both left and right channels from your mono microphone.

Please note, all camera kits sold on this site which include a microphone will now come with this stereo splitter.

This is a much tidier way to record sound on both channels rather than using a splitter cable.

Stereo 'Zorst Mic

If your machine bangs loud then this is the perfect mic for recording the music.

This low gain mic is for recording from loud exhausts without clipping or distorting. This microphone is super high quality stereo and has it's own power supply and pre-amp. There will be little to no wind noise if positioned correctly just a sweet exhaust tune.

This mic will not pick up quiet sounds like talking.

Powered by one AA battery (supplied). Rca connecting converters are supplied so it will plug into the a/v input on your recorder.
