How to upgrade the firmware on your PV500 Evo/Eco

First, make sure you download the correct file for your device:
A: Download Firmware for PV500 EVO (the touchscreen version)
B: Download Firmware for PV500 ECO (non touchscreen version)
1: Click on of the above links to download the file.
2: Read this guide on how to format an SD Card.
3: UNZIP the files and copy both on to the BLANK SD card.
ensure no other files are on the card.
4: Plug the PV500 in to the mains using the charger.
5: Put the SD card in the PV500 and turn the unit on.
6: Go in to the settings menu and find "UPDATE FIRMWARE"
7: Follow the on screen instructions and wait for the unit to reboot.
If an error is shown at this point then you most likely have the latest firmware already installed or the file has not been unzipped correctly.
