If you're looking for the highest quality video from your system then this is currently the recommended product of choice. The ultimate bullet camera system!

This unit will completely blow anything else in this price range right out of the water for both image quality and features. It's the only system available to achieve full DVD quality video and also has a built-in colour pre-view screen.

This kit records in progressive scan mode so the video looks great on any TV or computer screen without having to de-interlace the video.

The HQR-2 camera kit records in either mpeg2 or mpeg4 mode making it really flexible for all users. The built-in Li-Poly battery will power itself plus the Sony HQ2 bullet camera for around 5 hours. It can record at 8mb/s 720 x 576 which is something that only the Chasecam PDR100 can do in this price range. The HQR-2 has the added advantage of being much smaller and much easier to setup your camera with it's full colour screen.

The on-screen menu makes it easy to use and setup. It has a built-in microphone with variable gain control. This makes it a tidy solution with only one cable running from the recorder to the camera.

The bullet cameras supplied in this package are the Sony HQ1 or HQ2 models. The HQ2 camera not only gives exceptional colour reproduction and a quick response to changing light conditions but is comparable to CCTV cameras worth over £600.00 in low light performance.

The HQ2 camera is one of the smallest on the market making it comfortable to wear and easy to mount. It's waterproof down to 3m of water and extension cable runs up to 50m are available. The recorder part is not waterproof and should not be allowed to get wet.

Supplied with 1m of cable between camera and recorder. Cable runs of up to 50m are possible with this kit. The connection to this recorder from the camera is a high quality push fit "lemo" connector.

This system records on to a compact flash card. At full quality it needs 4.5gb per hour of video. A 32gb CF card is the largest available at this time holding around 8 hours at full quality.

It is important to note that this system supports recording only and not play back. Video playback needs to be done on a computer. You will be able to see what the camera is pointing at and what you are recording on the built-in screen.

This padded velcro pouch will provide extra protection for your HQR2 recorder. It has velcro straps at the rear that can be used around a belt and also makes an excellent way to secure this recorder to a roll cage.

Aquapac for HQR-2 camera system

Now you can take your high quality recording kit out in the rain or on the water, making this the ONLY broadcast quality head camera kit available for water sports.

The Aquapac for connected electronics works with the HQR2 recorder and either HQ1 or HQ2 bullet cameras. It is supplied with a belt so it can be held around your waist or your arm.
You can still use up to 40m of extension cables between the recorder and the camera.

This aquapac is not designed to be submerged for more than a few minutes at a time to 3m.

HQR-2 Phono Link Cable

If you want to use the HQR-2 digital video recorder with types of bullet camera supplied by other dealers then you will need the Phono Link cable to interface with your existing camera. One end has a Lemo connector for the HQR-2 and the other end has male phono for video, stereo 3.5mm jack for audio and 2.1mm DC power for camera.

Please Note: You do not need this cable if using the DogCam HQ1 and HQ2 bullet cameras with waterproof connectors as in the package above.

1m Extension cable for HQ bullet camera

Our new range of extension cables available for the Sony HQ bullet cameras. These all have waterproof connectors that will work down to 3m of water. You can connect as many of these cables together in any combination up to a length of 50m without losing video quality.

Simply put this connector of the end of any of the extension cables above to give you standard RCA phono and DC input and outputs.

Additional Lenses For HQ cameras

We fit 3.6mm lenses to our cameras as standard which give a wide angle view of 82 °.

You can easily change the lenses in your camera head for a wider or more narrow angle of view. Generally, the wider angle lenses are better for head mounted or aerial based video. For car and bike video we recommend an 8mm or 12mm lens.

• 2.9mm 103° angle of view. (extra wide angle)

You will need a precision flat head screwdriver to change the lens on your camera available from most hardware stores.

Neutral Density Filter Pack

Lens removal tool

High quality neutral density filter pack.

When filming on bright sunny days you can use these filter lenses to restrict the amount of sunlight striking the CCD. The HQ-1 camera is already an excellent performer in snow conditions and these filters will give you the extra edge for the most professional looking video shot with your helmet camera. These lenses will fit this HQ1 bullet camera and our pro zoom model. This pack also includes a spare clear lens for your camera.

A small T Wrench tool is also supplied to help you replace the lenses in your bullet cam.

This pack contains five filters with 100% (clear glass), 80%, 50%, 30% and 10% levels. Filters can't be sold separately.

HQR-2 manual

MAC Users: The config software only works under windows. However, the mpeg4 video will directly load in to imovie and final cut pro. The HQR can be configured without the PC software using the built-in menu system.

Mpeg2 video is streamed to the CF card and requires finishing using the software before it will play.

Important info about this kit:

The software used to convert mpeg2 video is only compatible with windows based computers. Mac users will need to have access to a PC in order to convert the mpeg2 video files before they can be played. Or simply record in Mpeg4 (exactly the same quality) in which case the video files will play in quicktime with no problems.

The camera part of this kit is fully waterproof down to 3m. The recorder part should be protected against getting wet.

Video can be streamed live from this device across a network. You can also transfer files from the recorder over a network.
