The PV-800 DVR is perfectly suited to under cover filming and sports both a 30gb hard disk AND an SD slot for solid state recording. You can choose to record direct to hard disk or when conditions get tough switch to solid state memory SD card for uninterupted recording. You can record to SD card then transfer the files to the hard disk for longer record times. The PV-800 also has a 5v and a 12v power output to send power to the camera so you don't need to carry an extra power pack or set of batteries (remote required). Record resolution is 640 x 480 pixels at 25fps PAL or 30fps NTSC. Or 720 x 480 18fps

This device records in standard mp4 format .AVI files which can easily be dragged in to your video editing software and then put on the DVD or VCD.

A wired remote control for the PV-800. Plug this remote in to control on/off and record start/stop functions. A simple switch allows you to operate the unit whilst keeping it safely tucked away. Two LEDs will tell you the status of the recorder. This remote also has a belt clip.

With this remote you can also connect 12v power to the camera from the PV-800 so you don't need a separate power supply for the head-cam.

The pv800 and the dv500 digital video recorders are supplied with a UK mains battery charger. The charging is done by plugging the recorder in to a mains wall socket.

This device allows you to quick charge your batteries externally. The dv500 and pv800 come with 2 batteries so you can charge one whilst using the other.
