20/04/08 DogCam article in ZERB magazine. When Momin Javaid (guest editor) asked us to write an article about bullet cameras for Zerb magazine we were only too happy to oblige. If you can't find what you're looking for then please let us know and we will see if we can design something to suit your requirements. 07/04/08 Neutral density lens filter packs back in stock. All cameras have a hard time when faced with direct sunlight. It's not always possible to avoid this with a head or vehicle mounted camera. You might find your video suffers from glare and also image smear. You can reduce these effects by fitting an ND lens filter to your camera which will dramatically improve the quality of your video. If you're planning to film in sunny conditions or even in the snow, we really recommend using a filter kit. Each kit is supplied with a special tool for fitting the filter to your camera. 12/03/08 New camera mount.

Our favourite bits are the cameras and the digital video recorders but sometimes a non electrical item comes along that we really like and we have it right here. We had a complete redesign of this camera. Now using a smaller 19mm body it's much smaller than the previous version. This unit will overlay the g-force you are pulling on to your video.

You might have seen these kits in action on BBC autumn watch recently. 13/11/07 Extra value added item. The DV500 digital video recorder is now supplied with a wired remote control for the same price as before. Using this remote you can turn the device on or off and start recording within 5 seconds without having to even touch the recorder. An LED indicator on the small remote will tell you what is going on. 07/11/07 New Product. Accident camera! This is something we get asked about quite a lot. A camera that records the road ahead whilst you're driving. You don't need a really expensive system to do it. This small camera records video on to an SD card that can provide crucial evidence in the event of an RTA. With insurance prices these days, it could be worth it's weight in gold. 4/09/07 Television appearance. It's getting to be a regular thing but we still get excited when we see our cameras on the TV. Did you see the BBC extreme caving program with Kate Humble? Using our HQ1 cameras, they reported to us how impressed they were even in very low light conditions and with all the water around. When it's tucked away in a bag, small particles can scratch the outer lens of your camera. 24/06/07 Battery packs We've had our own battery packs built for us. In fact, we've had loads of them built and so we've managed to lower the price! Now you can get a 2000mah ni-mh battery with UK mains charger for just £30.00. We highly recommend using a battery pack, it will make life a lot simpler when using bullet camera equipment. The 2000mah battery pack will power the average bullet camera for over 7 hours. You can also use it to power a lot of other 12v devices on our site. This small bullet camera uses the same high quality Sony Exview electronics and superior DSP hardware and combined with a focusable zoom lens. A British husband and wife team are set to be the first British couple to cross the world's largest lake on skis, skates and snow shoes. 27/01/07 Broadcast quality solutions. DogCamSport now offer a range of broadcast quality portable digital video recorders designed for mobile filming and body worn camera work. This equipment by FFV is hard disk or solid state based and can record in MJPEG format especially suited to high motion scenes. The video files that these devices create are better than SD DV from a camcorder with the added advantage of being able to import the files straight in to your editing software package. This weekend we have been at the Auto sport trade show in Birmingham helping to do some filming for the Zapcat team. Zapcats do between 50 and 60mph skipping along the top of the water. When they change direction, they don't slow down!

16/11/06 Antarctic expedition. On the 21st of November 2006 Rory Sweet, Rupert Longsdon, Henry Cookson and Paul Landry will embark on a 1100 mile journey across the Antarctic and plan to "kite ski" 900m over the high Antarctic plateau. We get asked a lot if our kits are any good for skiing or snowboarding. The short answer is yes! In particular our 520 Pro camera and Pro Zoom cameras are extremely efficient at filming in bright conditions. The Sony CCD chip inside these cameras have excellent reaction times to changing light conditions. Hungerpain.net have been using our Pro 550 Zoom camera in their video productions in association with whitelines snow board magazine. You can have a sneak preview of their videos here. Their production will be available in November's issue of white lines. Sam also made our DogCam in Japan video for us with a Pro 480 camera. 03/10/06 Camera extension cables. Our cameras come with a 2 metre cable. The Pro Zoom camera has a 2.5 metre cable. If you need a longer run without loss of video quality then you can now purchase these items from the cables page. 01/10/06 Sony Camcorders. We have a limited stock of HC30e and HC32e camcorders from Sony. These two little beauties make superb recording devices for your helmet camera kit. Gives a much greater degree of protection whilst using your lanc remote. Also added spare velcro pads for your universal bullet cam mount. 06/09/06 PIP videos added. Not the most exciting video clips we've ever made but just a quick demo to show you how the PIP system works with 2, 3 and 4 cameras. For the rear facing camera you might notice that we have used the quad processor to mirror the image so it's flipped the right way round. See the PIP video clips here. 29/08/06 Picture in Picture. We've had our quad processor upgraded with PiP capability. This allows you to film from more than one camera at a time. You can have a forward facing camera at full screen and up to two more cameras in PiP mode on the same screen at full frame rate at the same time. For a forward and rear facing camera set up you can digitally "mirror" the rear facing camera which looks much more professional and logical to the eye. The correct terminology is bullet camera. Bullet cameras are also mass produced for the cctv market. It's important to remember that all bullet cameras are not the same.
