Lawmate PV1000
The PV1000 hybrid digital video recorder is the next generation of high definition digital video recorders. It is a law enforcement grade DVR.
The PV1000 has been built in to the same case as the original PV800 and PV806 recorders but it has a completely new set of electronics inside and a lot of new features which make it a very unique product.
To start with, a new video encoding chip has been used to vastly increase the video quality. You can choose to record video from 720 x 480 right up to 1280 x 960 resolution. A user selectable bit rate from 3mb/s up to 9mb/s makes it currently the highest quality digital recorder available.
The PV1000 has a built-in 60gb Hard Disk or you can choose to record direct to a solid state SD card up to 32gb in size. Video files can then be easily transferred from one to the other. This means the PV1000 can be used in harsh vibrating environments but still allows you to store a lot of video if required.
The PV1000 by Lawmate has been designed specifically for security purposes and can be used with a wide range of bullet cameras and hidden button cameras. It can provide power to it's cameras making it an extremely portable and tidy solution with the minimum of cabling involved.
Time and date stamping remain the same and a new unique device ID stamp can be chosen for each unit which can be displayed in real time on the video. Sensitive parts of the menu system can be password protected to prevent unauthorized use.
One of our favorite new features is the variable gain control in the menu system for the microphone of the camera being used with it. This means that no matter how noisy or quiet the environment you are filming in, you can always adjust it to get perfect clear audio with your video.
A new Pre-event feature has been added so the unit can stay in standby mode and at the touch of a button, can start recording up to 30 seconds before you press it. You can also take still shots from your video whilst you are recording or whilst in standby mode.
This unit is supplied with 2 x 3.7v removable and rechargeable batteries, each giving around 170 minutes of record time. Extra batteries and extended battery packs are also available.
Cables are supplied to connect the PV1000 direct to any TV or monitor for instant playback of any video or audio files.
The video files that are created can be played back on any PC or MAC by using VLC player. |
