NEW
ME1 Digital DVR
This is an incredible new digital video recorder from Germany. It has been built specifically for police use and has a rugged design with some great features.
The most important thing about this digital recorder is the video quality. It uses a quicktime mp4 codec with a bitrate of up to 8000kb/s at 720x576 resolution which can be considered DVD quality. This compression method has been designed by the same people who worked on the mp3 audio codec so these guys know a thing or two about video compression.
The ME1 is powered by 4 internal AA batteries and a good set of rechargeables that will give you approx 3.5 hours record time and 10 hours standby time.
It has a small TFT screen built-in so you can preview the image from your camera before you start recording. You can also play back the files you have created on it's own screen. Special software is supplied so you can remove the CF card and play back on your computer. This software allows you to analyse and take stills from your video. You can also export the video to a common AVI format that can be used in most video editing software suites without any loss in quality.
At full quality a 16gb card will hold about 3 hours of video, this can be extended by lowering the bitrate with the on screen menus.
It also has a digital time/date stamp facility (can be turned off) that watermarks the video if required for evidential purposes.
Very easy to use with one touch record buttons. |
