We've put together a switch kit with the MiniDVR2 digital video recorder. This is easily the most affordable way to get a two camera system for your car or bike.
The MiniDVR2 is the latest solid state digital video recorder that now comes with a wired remote controller for start stop recording. It records at 720 x 576 resolution so gives nice quality video and audio.
Video is stored on a normal sized SD card (up to 32gb holds more than 25 hours of video) You can instantly watch back the video you have recorded on the built-in screen or use the cables supplied to plug it in to your TV for big screen play back.
Because the MiniDVR2 makes standard .AVI files you can play them back on a MAC or a PC and easily edit the video and upload directly to YouTube or Facebook.
The two cameras supplied in these kits are connected to a 2 way video switch that is small enough to operate on your dash or handlebars. Simply flick the switch and choose the camera you want to record from in real time.
The cameras are 12v bullets which are completly waterproof. There is a choice of cameras depending on the video quality you are looking for and of course your budget. The cameras are powered from AA batteries or can bve powered from your bike using an additional 12v power regulator. The recorder comes with 2 batteries that will each give at least 2 hours each record time.
The MiniDVR2 had a built-in microphone in the recorder part and we also supply one of our V-Gain microphones so you have a choice on how you want to capture your audio. A menu setting allows you to select internal or external mic.
This system is currently very popular with rider training schools. The system is very easy to use and simple to install. We also supply basic velcro camera mounts in this kit or we can provide from a huge range of suction or clamps mounts as additional items.
