The POV.HD is the first 2 piece bullet camera system to achieve 1080p high definition video. You get all the benefits of a bullet camera system; small camera, screen for playback etc but now producing video quality better than anything else currently on the market.
The whole system is waterproof including the recorder part and the remote controller so if you tend to ride out on days where you might get caught in a shower, that is no longer a problem. It runs from normal AA batteries and a good set of rechargeables will give you between four and six hours record time.
Apart from the outstanding sharp images and vivid colours, the POV.HD bike camera kit also has some very neat features such as loop forward record mode. In this mode, the camera is always recording but will only store the footage when you press the remote controller. At this point, the POV can go back as far as 30mins and start recording in the past.
We have already seen a strong uptake of this camera from rider training schools and police safer riding video initiatives.
Just because this camera is top of the range, does not mean it's not really easy to use! On the memory card supplied with the camera you will find some easy video guides on how to setup and use the kit (so you don't need to bother with a manual!)
