VIO POV Power kit

One of the few disadvantages to the POV helmet camera system has been the lack of support for external power supply.

That's all changed now since the release of the VIO POV Power kit.

This can be used with all new POV.1.5 and existing POV.1 recording systems. This replaces the battery cover and has a coiled 6ft cable exiting from the rear. You can now power the POV from either a car cigarette lighter socket or hard wired direct to a 12v source.

It has a built-in regulator that converts 12v to the 5v required by the POV camera kit.

The POV power kit is fitted with a 1/4" thread in the back. This is the same thread used by tripods, suction mounts and clamp mounts on this site. Mounting the recorder part of the POV to a car or bike is now possible using this kit
