This is the latest MiniDVR HD helmet camera for skiing and snowboarding.

It is a traditional "2 piece" head camera system which means it has a very small camera part (about the size of your finger) plugged in to a digital video recorder.
Unlike previous MiniDVR systems, this one records at full 1080p and gives super sharp video quality.

This system uses a 135 degree angle lens to replicate roughly what you see with your own eyes. This is as wide as you can go without having that distorted fish-eye effect.

The recorder part has a built-in screen so once you have mounted your helmet camera you can easily see what the camera is pointing at.
You can also use the screen to play back the video you have recorded and for accessing the menu system.

It comes with a 3 hour battery and because the battery is in the DVR which will be in your pocket it does not tend to be affected by cold temperatures like an all in one camera can be.
Also, because the microphone is not built in to the camera part, you will get much better audio quality and you can improve on this further by plugging in an external microphone.

As part of the standard package you get a UK mains charger that will work abroad, a range of helmet mounts and a wired remote controller.
With the remote controller plugged in you can start/stop recording at the touch of a big red button that flashes bright red to let you know it's recording video.

Probably the best thing about this camera package is the size of the camera. We supply our own DOGCAM goggle mount which will have the bullet camera sat inline with your goggle strap providing yet another method of mounting your ski helmet camera.

At the end of the day, you can plug your DVR in to any TV and play back glorious 1080p video really easily.
