The Video V-Box Lite

This is the watered down "Lite" version of the Video Vbox by Racelogic.

Housed in a rugged enclosure, the Video VBOX Lite in car video system is designed to provide most of the features of the Video VBOX Pro, at a much lower price. It has the ability to record DVD quality video from two cameras, log GPS data at 10Hz, and incorporates a real time customisable graphical overlay.

Video VBOX Lite is slightly smaller and lighter than the Video VBOX Pro units, weighing in at 360 grms and measuring 12cm x 12cm x 4cm. There are no special mounting requirements or heat dissipation considerations, so the box can be placed anywhere convenient inside the car. We quite often mount systems like this using good quality dual lock velcro which we can supply.

The Video VBOX Lite in car camera system is ideally suited for use on track days. It can be easily transferred between cars, allowing you to compare your driving with your friends! The graphics are fully customisable with the supplied software package (PC only), and also comes with the full Circuit Tools analysis software included.

An important, but often overlooked point when choosing in car video systems, is that the video recorded by the unit can be played in most standard media players such as Windows Media Player, VLC etc. and can be uploaded directly to YouTube without any conversion.

To ensure reliability, locking connectors are used on the cameras and power supply, and the same ‘tank circuit’ as featured on the Video VBOX Pro is used to deal with un-wanted disruptions to the power supply, ensuring no loss of video files.

Customisation

You can customise all of the graphical elements embedded in the video footage using the scene design software supplied as part of the package. The software allows you to place your own logos, customised gauges, bar graphs, track maps, G-force gauges and text anywhere onto the scene.

You can also configure the size and layout of the picture in picture for the second camera, take photos of your own car's instruments and embed these in to your video.

There are a number of pre-defined scenes shipped with each system, and registered users can also download from a large library of scenes.

There are a number of package options with Video VBOX Lite, as we can supply kits with or without cameras. We do full twin camera setup with a high resolution (580L) main camera, and a lower resolution (420L) picture-in-picture camera.

Dogcam can provide any of our own bullet cameras with the Video Vbox Lite system including our WDR cameras specialised for filming wide angles from the rear of the car (roll bar mounted) we can put bespoke packages in case you need to hook your video vbox lite in to an intercom system.
