Wireless Snake Neck Inspection Camera
We first purchased one of these when the company owner lost his wedding ring behind a bath tub which had fallen under a floor board. We found it and retrieved it with this wireless snake camera kit.
It's been such a great little gadget we've decided to start selling them.
The wireless snake camera is available with either a 25mm or a 9mm CMOS camera head on the end of a 1m snake flex. Surrounding the camera head are ultra bright white LED's that can be controlled from the gun holder part.
4 x AA batteries will give hundreds of hours of use. The batteries clip up in to the handle part of the system.
The screen displays a live image at all times from the camera head. At any time the user can press a button on the screen to start recording video or taking still images on to a Micro SD memory card.
This is the clever bit...You can detach the monitor from the handle and the recorder/screen goes in to wireless mode. It has a wireless range of around 10m. The camera and the snake neck are waterproof and can be submergerd if required.
The battery inside the detachable DVR is a rechargeable Li-Ion cell which will record for over 2 hours constant use. It takes just 3 hours to fully charge this battery with the UK mains charger supplied in the kit.
The video quality from this device is really very good considering how much kit you get for the price. Video is recorded at 640 x 480 resolution and it uses 30mb for every minute of recording. So, a 2gb card will hold over 1 hour of video.
You can then connect the screen to any computer or tv screen for playing back your recordings or you can simply watch them on the bright 3.5 inch TFT screen provided.
Three attachements are provided to connect to the camera head. A mirror and two types of hook for fishing out cables and wedding rings.
1m snake neck extensions are available and you can use up to 4 of these together to give up to 5m altogether. Please note: The camera head will not support itslef when using more than one extension.
Finally, all of this kit comes in a tough container for storage suitable for any building site.
